Organization

The Netherlands Heart Institute (NLHI) is a collaboration between the cardiology departments of all eight university medical centers in the Netherlands (see website). The Hartenbank is part of the Netherlands Heart Institute (NLHI).

The mission of NLHI is to develop new strategies for preventing, diagnosing and curing cardiovascular diseases and to promote collaboration between the cardiology departments of all university hospitals in the Netherlands.

For cardiac autopsies and diagnostics, we collaborate with the Expertise Centre for Postmortem Diagnostics at Amsterdam UMC.

The cardiac autopsy protocol was drawn up in collaboration with the national working group of cardiovascular pathologists.

The Hartenbank would not be possible without the help of:
